The role reports to the Country Head Wholesale and is responsible for Institutional and professional client relationships and Business Development across Spain Andorra and Portugal atRobeco Spain with a focus on expanding and enhancing Robecosinvestment solutions offeringin the Iberian market.
The role will be based in Robecos Madrid office. Our flexible working approach aims to find an optimal balance for our colleagues clients and organization by requesting our colleagues to be present in the office for at least 60% of their working time and giving them the opportunity to work elsewhere for the remaining 40%.
Position & Requirements
The Role
- Responsible for the distribution to Spanish intermediary clients (banks / private insurance multi-managers fund selectors family offices platforms)
- Ensuring and achieving annual quantitative sales targets at individual and team level (Wholesale Spain and Europe)
- Undertake prospecting and development of wholesale clients in Spain
- Participate in the development of strategic sales and marketing plans and reflections on the tactical positioning of products in Spain and the EMEA zone
- Be aware of current events the market clients and market authorities in order to have a good knowledge of the regulatory directives of the market and thus ensure their implementation and execution
- Develop and deepen Robecos leadership in sustainable investing and drive the implementation of local sustainability guidelines
- Develop a good analysis and competitive intelligence of the market on our investment expertise and be proactive in addressing clients and their needs
- Ensure the compliance of existing and new relationships (Know Your Customer / Know Your Distributor)
- Ensure the follow-up and quality of data in the CRM tool for accurate monitoring of the activity
- Management of internal and external cross-functional projects
Professional Experience / Skills
- Senior professional individual with more than 6 years of industry experience with a proven track record in a similar sales role
- Very good knowledge of the Spanish asset management industry the clients (including larger groups structures) and the regulatory market aspects
- Strong appetite for / good understanding of sustainability driven strategies
- Fluent in English (speaking & writing)
- Sharp sales development approach both result driven & solution orientated with a clear customer focus
- Creative strategic thinker with an ability to organize its own work and the work of others
- Strong leadership personality that enjoys working in a team within an international setting
- Capacity to work with cross-functional teams both at local & global levels
- Open communicator with a constructive mindset and the ability to give and receive feedback
