A Production Lead oversees cylinder fill plant operations ensuring the safe and efficient production of gaseous products. This role involves training coaching and mentoring Production Operators across various plant teams.
In particular you will:
Directs and coordinates plant activities to maximize production efficiency and meet regional branch cylinder requirements.
Delegates tasks to shift operators.
Ensures compliance with all FDA OSHA EPA and DOT regulations.
Maintains accurate computer and hand-generated paperwork in accordance with Airgas SOPs.
Reports equipment or facility defects to management.
Stays informed of industry technical developments by reviewing relevant publications.
Accountable for the safety and safety practices of assigned personnel.
Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
Five years of industry-related experience and/or training with at least two years in a supervisory role.
Valid state drivers license and applicable regulatory licenses for pumping specific products (if required).
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Frequent lifting of 25-75 lbs.; occasional lifting of 76-100 lbs.
Prolonged standing (up to 8 hours) frequent bending stooping crouching reaching grasping feeling and repetitive motion.
Occasional climbing balancing kneeling crawling pushing pulling and finger activities.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective interaction in both favorable and unfavorable situations regardless of status or position.
Ability to accept cultural diversity and establish effective working relationships.
