Job Description
Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Full-time Teacher Assistant at Hillside Jr/Sr High School Valleyview AB.
Successful candidate s responsibilities:
- Working with students one-on-one & in small groups in a classroom setting
Teac h er Assistant s Qualifications :
- Educational Assistant Certificate (desirable)
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with children parents and staff
- Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teacher and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
- Understand and carry out oral and written direction
- Work independently with minimal instruction
- Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
- Respect confidentiality
- Practice professionalism with all HSH School students staff administration parents and public
- Be aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures
Hours of Work:
- 6.5 hours per day/5 days per week
Wage Rate:
- $20.15/hour - $28.40/hour depending on qualifications and experience
