Job Summary
Sheppard Pratt School and Residential Treatment Center is a year-round therapeutic educational and residential program for middle and high school-aged youths with severe emotional and behavioral disabilities. While in our care youth attend an on-site full-day special and general education school that operates a 12-month program.

What can you expect
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a collaborative learning environment that supports the cognitive social and emotional growth of the youths in our care. You will:
- Work with referring schools in providing continuity of education program.
- Review transcripts and relevant education materials to determine grade placement.
- Develop class schedule in collaboration with school supervisors.
- Counsel students on credit requirements.
- Work with a multi-disciplined team to determine school placement following discharge.
- Counsel students on their options after graduating high school (continuing education vs. entering the workforce).
- May be asked to participate in case conferences and individualized education plan (IEP) meetings.

What we need from you
- Masters degree preferably in special education.
- At least two years of related work experience.
- Experience working in a special education and general education with middle and/or high school students.
