The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Applicant & Safety Excellence team is seeking Certification Systems Engineers (Experienced Senior or Principal) to join our team in Everett Washington.
Position Overview:
The Applicant Excellence team is leading the effort to Strengthen the Applicant Team members have opportunity to apply learned functional and Applicant knowledge across all BCA functions/disciplines/programs to drive Applicant independence and high quality Applicant products. The teams mission is to Cultivate a culture of compliance and excellence among all BCA applicants ensuring that every individual is equipped with the knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of certification showing of compliance and FAA regulations.
This team leads Innovative and future-thinking solutions in an autonomous atmosphere. The team completes their work using the entire engineering problem solving method accomplishing systems level solutions. Candidates will be comfortable in ambiguity and have creative/visionary skills to influence BCA cross-Functional leadership towards the future of Boeing enabling an independent strong applicant knowledgeable in the full certification value stream. Responsibilities include:
Identify investigate propose and execute solutions to solve cross-functional/cross-program issues related to Applicant artifacts.
Coach/Mentor/Teach those responsible for executing the applicant portions of certification processes(i.e. PRO-88BPI-1375 BPI-3698 D6-36742 DX D6-84977 etc.).
Partner with Certification Tools and Certification Process owners for needed changes to reach future state applicant capability objectives.
Partner with Safety and Airworthiness (SAW) roles and certification focals in engineering for integration and two-way communication of system issues and subsequent system changes.
Reduce areas of interference between the Applicant and Organization Delegation Authorization (ODA) members to enabling respect and separation of responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.
7 years of engineering experience working in a function or program.
3 years of engineering experience executing work related to the Applicant.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working within the certification value stream.
Experience with showing compliance.
Systems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide reaching and longer term impacts.
Works well in ambiguity and autonomously
Experience investigating and finding solutions to complex technical or regulatory issues.
Experience communicating verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences including FAA representation ODA Leadership Engineering Unit Members (E-UM) & Project Administrators (PA) and Program & Functional Leaders Cert Leaders SC&P Leaders and SAW.
Experience developing presentations and presenting to multiple levels of an organization.

Experienced (Level 3): $104550 - $141450
Senior (Level 4): $128350 - $173650
Principal (Level 5): $157250 - $212750
