Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our Evansville this role you will prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for projects ranging from conceptual design-build to general tender work. You will play a critical role in supporting project success by providing accurate and timely estimates collaborating with project teams and ensuring competitive pricing.
Schedule: Regular Hours (Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate electrical cost estimates including materials labor and equipment.
- Analyze project plans specifications and proposals to determine material and labor requirements.
- Draft requests for quotations to obtain competitive supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Use estimating software such as Accubid Classic or Anywhere for precise calculations.
- Collaborate with the Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads.
- Review electrical sub-trade scopes and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Maintain organized documentation and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support company objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; trade experience considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical sub-trades and the ability to interpret electrical drawings schematics and P&IDs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel) and estimating software (Accubid preferred).
- Excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams clients and subcontractors.
