Supervise staff to promote and partner with all levels of management in creating a world-class safety culture. Use leadership knowledge skills and abilities to advocate for a safe and healthy work environment while protecting organizational assets.
How You Will Contribute
Accidents and Incidents: Conduct trend analysis on accident incident injury and illness data. Prepare quarterly safety reports. Develop and implement injury prevention programs based on leading categories. Participate in safety committee meetings pre-construction meetings and special projects.
Emergency Events: Respond to after-hours emergency call-outs and investigate accidents involving employees contractors or equipment.
Investigations: Investigate personal injuries workplace fatalities and near-miss incidents. Monitor and audit work zones for compliance. Investigate work zone accidents involving fatalities injuries or equipment damage.
Safety Accountability: Act with integrity and truthfulness. Promote safety in all work activities and hold staff accountable to the same standards.
Safety Program Administration: Develop and evaluate specifications for protective equipment safety programs regulations and standards. Provide mandatory safety emergency preparedness and accident prevention training. Conduct breath alcohol and drug testing as required by federal regulations.
Safety Standards: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of evolving safety regulations building/fire/electrical codes NFPA MUTCD ISEA ANSI ASTM standards OSHA and Work Area Protection standards. Provide guidance to staff and act as liaison on safety and health issues. Lead and support investigations monitoring and compliance projects.

Minimum Qualifications
Valid drivers license.
Ability to obtain certifications for workforce safety and health program delivery.
Experience in accident investigation techniques.
Experience interpreting and applying safety-related codes standards and regulations.
Experience with occupational safety and health standards and safety equipment.
Skill in technical writing and public speaking.
Proficiency in computers and software applications.
Additional Considerations
Education training or experience in Health Occupational Safety or a related field.
Advanced crash investigation and reconstruction training.
Certified Instructor in First Aid CPR and Defibrillation.
Defensive Driving Certification or instructor credentials.
FEMA IS 100 IS 200 IS 700 IS 800 certifications.
Fundamentals of Crash Investigation and Reconstruction.
Flagger certification.
