Service Technician / Offshore HVAC Technician / Industrial AC Technician / Field Service Engineer
Service Technician / Offshore HVAC Technician / Industrial AC Technician / Field Service Engineer is required to join a specialist provider of offshore and industrial HVAC/AC systems supporting both shop-based and international offshore operations.
Service Technician / Offshore HVAC Technician / Industrial AC Technician / Field Service Engineer The successful candidate will already have proven offshore HVAC experience and will be confident working independently in demanding environments handling installation commissioning servicing and troubleshooting of complex systems.
Package
- Trial period: $3035 per hour until competency is demonstrated
- Experienced technicians: $4149 per hour base with uplifts and overtime
- Offshore uplifts: 20% Gulf of Mexico / 50% Africa & international waters
- Long-term annual earnings: $180000$200000 (base uplifts overtime)
- Overtime available (shop & offshore)
Location & Schedule:
- Base: Houston TX (local candidates only)
- Travel: Approx. 50% shop / 50% offshore and international
- Shop: 40 hours per week (MonThurs 6:0016:30) with optional Fri/Sat overtime
- Offshore: variable schedules with uplifts overtime
Service Technician / Offshore HVAC Technician / Industrial AC Technician / Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:
- Install commission/start-up service and troubleshoot offshore HVAC/AC units and AC generators
- Perform shop-based diagnostics start-ups simulations and system checks prior to offshore deployment
- Service units on oil & gas rigs drilling platforms FPSOs and vessels worldwide
- Work independently without supervision in offshore environments
- Handle both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting efficiently under pressure
- Ensure accurate safe and timely repairs in line with industry standards
- Maintain professional communication with operators and clients (non-sales role)
Service Technician / Offshore HVAC Technician / Industrial AC Technician / Field Service Engineer Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Offshore HVAC Technician / Industrial AC Service Technician in oil & gas environments
- Fully competent and self-sufficient able to work unsupervised in offshore conditions
- Strong diagnostic troubleshooting and problem-solving ability across multiple vendor systems
- Hands-on experience with HVAC/AC units and AC generators (industrial not commercial/refrigeration)
- Professional reliable and safety-focused with excellent customer communication skills
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in high-pressure hazardous offshore environments
- Universal EPA Certification
- TWIC Card
- HUET (Helicopter Underwater Egress Training)
- Basic Plus safety certification
- Offshore survival/safety training as required
- Ability to pass strict and ongoing drug/alcohol testing (hair follicle DISA)
