Description

The Vice President Datacenter Sales will lead Coherents strategic engagement with Nvidia and one other major CSP. This role is accountable for revenue growth contract execution design wins and executive relationship management across both accounts. The VP will align Coherents optical networking and interconnect solutions with customer datacenter roadmaps ensuring Coherent is recognized as a trusted partner in enabling AI-scale expansion.

The VP will work globally coordinating closely with Coherent colleagues supporting Nvidia in Israel and collaborating with other CSP account leaders (AWS Google Meta Microsoft Oracle) to share insights ensure alignment and maximize Coherents overall impact in the cloud and AI datacenter ecosystem.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Account Leadership

  • Own the multi-year sales strategy for Nvidia and one additional CSP account.
  • Develop long-range account plans that align with customer GPU/datacenter roadmaps.
  • Position Coherent as a trusted strategic supplier driving customer success in AI-scale buildouts.

Executive Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with senior executives procurement engineering and supply chain leaders at Nvidia and the additional CSP.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and structured executive 3x3s to ensure strong alignment at the top level.
  • Act as executive bridge between customers and Coherents ELT.

Revenue & Contract Management

  • Deliver revenue growth and exceed quarterly/annual targets across both accounts.
  • Negotiate and close multi-year supply allocation and pricing agreements.
  • Own full sales pipeline visibility across Nvidia and the secondary CSP account.

Customer Advocacy

  • Serve as primary escalation point for Nvidia and secondary CSP.
  • Represent customer priorities internally to shape product operations and capacity planning.
  • Anticipate challenges and ensure continuity of supply in constrained environments.

Global & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate closely with Coherent colleagues supporting Nvidia in Israel.
  • Collaborate with other CSP account leaders across AWS Google Meta and Microsoft to synchronize strategies.
  • Partner with product management engineering and BU leadership to deliver tailored solutions.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track Nvidias AI datacenter expansion ecosystem trends and competitor attach rates as well as those of the secondary CSP account.
  • Provide regular executive updates on performance risks and opportunities.
  • Use market insights to inform long-term strategy.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead and mentor account managers supporting Nvidia and the secondary CSP.
  • Foster collaboration and best practices across the CSP sales team.
  • Contribute to broader leadership of Coherents Networking Sales division.

Education & Experience

  • Masters degree in Engineering Business or related field (MBA or advanced technical degree preferred).
  • 15 years of senior sales/account leadership experience in optical networking semiconductors or related technologies.
  • Proven success managing large complex hyperscaler or semiconductor accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and execute multi-year supply agreements in fast-growth capacity-constrained markets.
  • Technical knowledge of coherent optics DWDM and datacenter interconnect solutions.
  • Familiarity with Nvidia and CSP infrastructure procurement strategies.

  • Effective under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with CRM SAP Excel PowerPoint Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
