Job Description

Standing Order

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an experienced Tool and Die Machinist to join our this role you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machines and tools to produce high-quality tooling dies and molds used in manufacturing processes. You will work closely with the Tool and Die Maker to produce parts that meet customer specifications and maintain the tooling in optimal condition.

Tool and Die Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate a variety of machines and tools including lathes milling machines grinders and CNC equipment to produce and maintain tooling

  • Read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and specifications to determine tooling requirements

  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers gauges and optical comparators to verify conformance to specifications

  • Make adjustments to tooling as necessary to ensure proper fit and function

  • Troubleshoot tooling issues and make repairs as needed

  • Collaborate with the Tool and Die Maker and production staff to ensure tooling meets production requirements and schedules

  • Maintain accurate records of all tooling repairs modifications and maintenance work performed

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to identify and implement process improvements

Tool and Die Machinist Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Certificate or associate degree in Tool and Die Making or related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Tool and Die Machinist

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Knowledge of CNC programming and operation

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and programming

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30 per hour
