Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare fiberglass pieces by cutting from a roll to pattern or length rolling it and marking it with the appropriate layer code
- Order all glass as needed on the I-pad
- Cut glass on cutting machine to required length for glass kits and rework glass
- Track glass kits traceability on paperwork and in the I-pad
- Fill empty glass kit carts
- Slit glass as needed
- Ensure all materials used is according to the work instructions and approved from the quality department
- Notify supervisor immediately of any near miss or injury no matter how slight.
- Seek guidance from fellow coworkers or supervisor regarding various issues.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working alone or with a team.
- Attend crew/department meetings as required.
- Attend plant meetings as required.
- Maintain 5s standards
- Wear appropriate PPE
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery.
- Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull heavy objects
Desired Characteristics
- High School Diploma/GED or related job experience.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Previous composite materials experience.
