Job Description

Overview

i3 is seeking an experienced Radar Systems Engineer to design develop and optimize advanced radar systems for defense applications. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge radar technologies from initial concept through deployment ensuring systems meet stringent performance reliability and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze radar systems including transmitters receivers signal processors and antenna arrays
  • Support the development of system requirements and specifications for radar performance parameters
  • Provide technical guidance on radar system integration and optimization
  • Support the planning and execution of comprehensive testing protocols for radar system validation
  • Analyze test data and generate detailed performance reports
  • Troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective measures

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS or MS degree in electrical engineering physics or related field.
  • 15 years of experience
  • Proficiency in radar principles including waveform design signal processing and target detection
  • Strong background in RF/microwave engineering
  • Experience with simulation tools (MATLAB Simulink)
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing and real-time embedded systems
  • Proficient with RF test equipment (e.g. spectrum analyzer)

Desired:

  • 20 years of experience
  • Experience with digital signal processing in radar applications
  • MATLAB application in simulation and data analysis
  • RF test and evaluation experience
  • Experience supporting anechoic chamber operations

Security Clearance

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday however additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
