Summary:
Administers non-emergent out of hospital care (such as moving lifting positioning) and transportation services to sick or injured persons.
Responsibilities:
high-quality medical transportation to wheel chair and livery patients.
fulfills all transport responsibilities associated with patient conveyance.
relevant activities conveyance of patients.
equipment for constant state of readiness.
vehicles safely while performing all matters in relation to patient conveyance.
participate in orientation and training of new employees.
changes to lead staff to ensure smooth operation of transportation system.
cleanliness of vehicles.
crew quarters.
all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
other duties as assigned.
Other Information:
High School Diploma/GED.
Valid CT Drivers License.
American Heart Association BLS CPR or equivalent.
Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
May be required to obtain a public passenger license.
AHA ARC or NSC BLS CPR (or CPR-Instructor) certificate that has not expired.
Working Conditions:
Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Some occupational risk
Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt odors noise human waste etc.
