Position Overview

Client is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to provide application development and support for Java-based systems supporting the Local Services Division. This role involves full software development lifecycle activities including design development testing debugging and documentation.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity eligible for transition to permanent (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holders only).

Key Responsibilities

Design code test and debug secure and maintainable Java applications.
Modify and install Java-based software systems and related applications.
Analyze system issues independently or as part of a team and develop appropriate solutions.
Develop documentation for programs processes and system architecture.
Translate business requirements into technical tasks and functional solutions.
Communicate effectively with business users regarding system issues or inquiries.
Research learn and apply new technologies aligned with modernization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
Technical Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Java JavaScript J2SE J2EE.
- Experience with frameworks such as Struts and Spring.
- Web development expertise with Apache Tomcat XML XSL Stylesheets and Web Services.
- Experience working with Oracle databases and SSL certificates.
- Familiarity with tools such as Eclipse BIRT Reports TOAD SQL Developer Azure DevOps and Git.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
