OFFICE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS

STUDENT ACCOMMODATION SECTION

The Office of Student Affairs invites applications for the post of Assistant StudentHousing Officer inthe Student Accommodation Section which manages 3700 on-campus residential places and providescomprehensive residential education in the context of whole-person development to students.

The appointee is expected to provide general administrative logistical and clerical support for the day-to-day operation of the Student Accommodation on shift duties may be required.

Assistant Student Housing Officer ()

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for daily hostel operations and residential education programmes;
  • Coordinate with the cleaning team for carrying out routine and ad-hoc cleaning services;
  • Conduct regular and ad hoc inspections of hostel facilities;
  • Assist with counter services system management and general office duties;
  • Support check-in check-out room change arrangements defect rectification and room preparation;
  • Liaise with outsourced contractors and other departments on matters related to hostel operations;
  • Handle enquiries perform data entry prepare and retrieve reports; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A recognised Diploma or above preferably with at least three years of work experience;
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua);
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Excel and both English and Chinese word processing;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Experience in hostel operations or customer service is a definite advantage; and
  • Flexibility to work outside regular office hours as required.

The initial appointment will be offered on a two-year fixed-term contract. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
