Job Description
Staff Management Group is seeking a Footwear Finisher for our client in Totowa NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 7AM - 3:30PM
Pay Rate:
- $15.49 / hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Footwear Finisher with strong skills in cutting shaping and finishing shoe leather right candidate is dedicated to producing high-quality footwear components with attention to detail and are seeking an individual to contribute expertise to a footwear manufacturing team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cut shape and trim leather soles using both hand tools and industrial machines.
- Sand and smooth edges to ensure a clean professional appearance.
- Apply adhesives polishes and protective coatings as part of the finishing process.
- Conduct quality inspections to identify and correct imperfections.
- Follow design specifications and quality standards throughout production.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly output goals.
- Assist with material preparation and shoe assembly when needed.
- Perform cleaning polishing and final detailing tasks to complete shoe production.
- Maintain finishing tools and equipment to ensure proper and safe operation.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and production procedures.
Job Requirements:
- MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish
- Experience in shoe finishing repair or related manufacturing environments.
- Skilled in using hand tools and industrial finishing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to follow production schedules and work efficiently in a team setting.
- Awareness of workplace safety practices and ability to maintain a clean work area.
