The Financial Accounting Manager supports the Production and Control Senior Lead to ensure that all production activities are performed to provide a foundations for finance data and reporting to be driven from.
What youll be doing:
Ensuring that all technical finance journals are validated posted promptly and controls checked.
Accountability for Solvency II balance sheet oversight.
Support the Production and Control Senior Lead to manage Service level agreements
Challenge the month-end financial accounting process and Identify opportunities for improvement.
Review legal entity and consolidated financial statements. Analyse significant movements in the balance sheet and provide appropriate monthly reporting.
Review substantiation evidence to auditing concepts including completeness existence and accuracy.
Collaborate with appropriate Finance colleagues on any Group-wide / Finance projects and new products. Provide technical accounting and financial process expertise to project requirements specifications. Support user acceptance testing and implementation of new financial accounting outputs.
Support the audit (Finance Risk team internal and external audit) of the Groups legal entities control environment and financial records.
Our hybrid model offers a best of both worlds approach. When youll be in the office depends on your role and team but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office
What youll need:
Qualified accountant qualification (ACA ACCA or CIMA) with a minimum of five years post-qualified experience.
Knowledge of IFRS17.
knowledge of applying IAS 38 Intangible Assets IAS 16 Property Plant and Equipment and IAS 36 Impairment of Assets.
Experience in substantiation and reconciliation including applying auditing concepts
