Are you passionate about shaping the future of land management and natural resource outcomes in NSW We are seeking a Senior Strategic Land Services Officer a position that combines strategic project leadership with monitoring evaluation reporting and improvement (MERI) responsibilities. This is a unique opportunity to lead high-impact initiatives build strong partnerships and provide the evidence base that informs better decision-making for landscapes communities and industries.

The role offers the chance to design and implement strategic projects support regional planning and lead the integration of MERI across diverse programs including natural resource management biosecurity sustainable agriculture and Aboriginal community partnerships. You will work closely with stakeholders contribute to high-level governance and ensure reporting and data systems meet state and national standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing strategic projects and partnerships that deliver on Local Land Services and government priorities.
  • Leading the development and implementation of MERI plans systems and evaluation processes across programs.
  • Coordinating monitoring and reporting requirements for major projects including National Heritage Trust (NHT) funded activities.
  • Supporting governance through robust data management compliance with ethics requirements and quality reporting.
  • Engaging with community groups Aboriginal organisations researchers and funding partners to deliver collaborative evidence-based outcomes.

What were looking for:

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in natural resource management agriculture environmental science biosecurity or related fields.
  • Experience in strategic project management and planning stakeholder engagement and policy interpretation.
  • Demonstrated skills in monitoring evaluation reporting and data governance.
  • Strong ability to build relationships influence stakeholders and provide clear technical and strategic advice.
  • A current NSW driver licence and willingness to travel.
  • Your expertise will help us drive innovation accountability and positive outcomes for landholders communities and the environment.
