Senior Accountant - West Yorkshire
Lead and Inspire in a Dynamic Chartered Accountancy Practice

About the Role
As a Senior Accountant youll manage your own client portfolio whilst providing leadership and guidance to junior team members. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to make a real impact in a growing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a diverse portfolio of clients independently
Preparing complex company accounts and tax computations for limited companies sole traders and partnerships
Supervising and mentoring Semi Senior and Junior Accountants Managing VAT compliance returns and submissions
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Providing business advisory services and tax planning advice
Supporting audit and review engagements
Contributing to business development and client retention activities
Ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulations
Managing workflow and meeting strict deadlines
What Were Looking For
Essential Requirements:
AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA
Minimum 3 years experience in UK accountancy practice
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax legislation
Proven experience in preparing statutory accounts and tax returns
Leadership and mentoring capabilities
Excellent client relationship management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable Requirements:
Experience with CCH Sage Xero or similar accounting software
Knowledge of company secretarial procedures
Experience in business advisory services
Understanding of audit and assurance processes
Strong project management skills
Previous team leadership experience
