Overview

Are you a CNA looking for a new opportunity Hospice of North Alabama is seeking a passionate dedicated CNA to join our team in Morgan and Lawrence countiesAlong with enjoying the benefits of flexibility and autonomy you will have the opportunity to grow your skillset while providing essential one-on-one support in the patients home while supporting their families. Coverage area: Morgan and Lawrence counties

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8am-5pm)

How you will contribute (not limited to)

You will make a difference in our patients lives by coordinating with the assigned nurse to provide safe patient care and report out on the patients condition. You will perform personal care take vitals communicate with families and other duties as assigned. You will travel between patients and work as part of an interdisciplinary team that supports both families and patients during their end-of-life journey. Qualifications

  • Meet the training requirements of the state of practice
  • Minimum of six months experience including providing personal care
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training 16 of the 75 hours of classroom must be complete prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training
  • Possess and maintain current CPR certification
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
  • Understands hospice philosophy comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Ability to handle death/dying
  • Strong Oral and written communication skills
  • Good Organizational skills
