Job Description
Motor Vehicle Operator I
Completion of ninth grade and possession of a classified driver license may be required bases on the type of vehicle operated
Participates in the collection of recyclable material and bagged trash throughout campus. Includes disposal of material in the appropriate dumpsters or roll-off containers replacing receptacle liners and the general upkeep of each station. May work events such as Krishna Lunch luncheons etc. to provide recycling collection assistance during normal business hours and non-business hours such as nights weekend events and football games.
Operates state vehicles as required. Performs preventive maintenance / maintenance tasks with the refuse and recycling team.
Participates in group meetings or teamwork activity. Assists in the removal of recyclables and other debris as needed.
This position requires a post-offer health assessment.
Valid Class E Drivers License Required. Position requires a background check.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday Friday 6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. Additional hours may be required on the weekend of seven home football games as well as during periods of student move-out and move-in large events such as graduation and possibly after storms that have resulted in significant problems at the University.
$16.00 Hourly
