What does a successful Software Development Engineering Senior Professional I doAt Fiserv we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As a Software Development Engineering - Senior Professional I you will play a critical role in designing developing and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

What you will do:

• Lead the design development and implementation of software applications to support Fiservs business goals.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Perform coding testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance.

• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

What you will need to have:

• Proficient in Progress OpenEdge technologies such as AppBuilder Data Dictionary SmartObjects and ABL (Advanced Business Language).

• Open Edge REST Services API experience

• 4 years of experience in software development.

• 4 years of experience in Java C C# C or similar programming languages.

• 4 years of experience in SQL databases.

• 4 years of experience in AWS Azure or GCP services.

• 4 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• 4 years of an equivalent combination of educational background related experience and/or military experience.

What would be great to have:

• 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.

• 5 years of experience with microservices architecture.

• 5 years of experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.

• 5 years of experience with performance tuning and optimization.

Important information about this role:

• This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experience helps you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

• You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including but not limited to F-1 (OPT CPT STEM) H-1B H-2 or TN or any candidate requiring sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this role.

• This is a full-time direct-hire position and no contract options for unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.
