Job Summary:
The Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 50 Medical Assistants across all the Waccamaw Dermatology locations. Their duties include partnering with the providers to ensure efficient patient treatment procedures and providing ongoing training to incorporate best practices for the team. Schedules the medical assistant team and acts as a point of escalation when needed.

- Directly and indirectly manages a small team of individuals.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervises employees engaged in medical assistant activities across all locations.
- Builds relationships of trust between the provider medical assisting team and the practice.
- In collaboration with the providers plans and prepares work schedules and assigns medical assistants to specific duties.
- Hires trains and evaluates medical assistants in consultation with Practice Administrator Human Resources and the providers.
- Contributes to the development of new policies procedures and training programs for the medical assistant team.
- Supports the providers to identify and resolve problems with service to customers.
- Ensures medical assistant compliance with applicable government laws healthcare regulations/guidelines and Company policies and procedures.
- Handles difficult/challenging conversations with employees with professionalism and fairness adhering to company and federal/state employment regulations. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate to ensure processes are in place for an exceptional patient experience from the moment of booking to post-treatment follow-up.
- Acts as a point of escalation for the medical assistants and address patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

- Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong ability to train coach and mentor assigned staff
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Electronic Management Software and other related systems used within a healthcare setting.
Education and Experience:
- Certificate in clinical field preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years prior experience as a medical assistant
- Minimum of 1-2 year in a supervisory/leadership capacity
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.
- Combination of medical office and exam rooms. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases biohazards and other conditions common in clinic settings. Light lifting to 20 lbs and ability to physically support patients as needed.
