Description of the Role
The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for building and leading the sales organization at VELOX. This is a senior leadership role focused on creating a sales first culture developing a scalable SDR and AE team implementing sales processes and tech stack best practices and owning pipeline performance. The VP of Sales will work closely with the CEO to establish revenue strategy forecast growth and drive the sales machine that powers VELOXs continued success.
Responsibilities
- Build lead and scale a high-performing sales team including SDRs AEs and supporting operations roles
- Design and implement the sales process from lead generation to close ensuring efficiency and consistency
- Oversee management of the sales tech stack (CRM sequencing tools reporting platforms) to maximize productivity
- Partner with SDR leadership to refine outbound strategies prospecting and appointment setting
- Develop and enforce pipeline management practices ensuring accurate forecasting and visibility for executive leadership
- Collaborate with Marketing and Client Success leadership to align GTM strategy and client acquisition goals
- Establish KPIs quotas and performance metrics for the sales team driving accountability and results
- Recruit onboard and coach sales talent to ensure continuous skill development and strong cultural alignment
- Represent sales leadership in executive meetings providing insights on pipeline health forecasting and market opportunities
- Drive revenue growth through consistent execution strategic deals and ongoing optimization of the sales process
Qualifications
- 8 years of progressive sales leadership experience with at least 3 years in a VP or senior-level sales role
- Proven track record of building and scaling sales teams (SDRs AEs) in a B2B or agency environment
- Deep expertise in sales process design pipeline management and forecasting
- Strong technical acumen with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) sequencing tools and reporting systems
- Ability to hire train and motivate top performing sales talent
- Data driven decision maker with a focus on accountability and measurable outcomes
- Excellent leadership communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across departments
- Demonstrated success in driving significant revenue growth and building sales-first organizations
Preferred
- Experience in digital marketing SaaS and/or agency environments
- Familiarity with sales automation and AI-enabled sales tools
- Strong network and relationships within B2B marketing or technology sectors
