ACADEMY OF GEOGRAPHY SOCIOLOGY AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES
Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant ()
The Academy is calling for applications for the position of a Senior Research Assistant or a Research Assistant for a research project on Digital Labor in Urban Chinese Families.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Principal Investigator in data collection and data analysis for the project;
- Conduct information and literature search for the Principal Investigator;
- Arrange and assist the Principla Investigator in field work in mainland China;
- Coordinate with internal and external parties for the project; and
- Take up some administrative duties when necessary.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree or above in Sociology or related Social Science disciplines; applicant with a masters degree in Sociology or related Social Science displines and fieldwork experiences in mainland China will be advantages;
- Knowledge and experiences of doing qualitative interviews and field observations;
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese conversational Mandrine; and
- Responsible independent and detail oriented.

The initial appointment will be offered on a contract of six months. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
