At the Faculty of Medicine Department of Health Science and Technology a position as Postdoc in Itch Neuroplasticy is open for appointment fromor soon thereafter. The position is limited to a period of 2 years with an employment rate of 80%.

At Department of Health Science and Technology we conduct research teaching and innovation within engineering biomedicine sports science public health neuroscience psychology and physiotherapy to develop sustainable technological solutions. Job description

• Seeking experimental/clinical researchers with a PhD in the field of itch and neuroplasticy. Experience in human experimental itch studies are needed.
• The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to research in human experimental and clinical itch and support the integration of this field into educational activities including student projects and courses. The position will also focus on advancing clinical trials within human experimental itch research.
• Contribute to the Bachelors and Masters programs in Medicine with Industrial Specialisation (MedIS) and Medicine at the Department of Health Science and Technology AAU including supervising student groups and case education.

The following criteria will apply

To achieve merit at postdoc level we expect that the candidate has qualifications corresponding to an acquired Ph.D. expect that the candidate:

• has published in peer-reviewed journals as the first author of the publication
• has experience with applying for external funding for projects equipment travel costs etc. possibly as main as main applicant (PI) or co-applicant (co-PI). This will be an advantage
• is able to conduct teaching exams and quality assurance either independently or under supervision of a senior colleague
• has experience with presentation of science e.g. at conferences or in other relevant forums
• has experience with sharing knowledge through an open science practice. This will be an advantage
• can work both independently and contribute positively to the teamwork in a research group
• will be able to contribute to teaching within the departments bachelor and master programs
