The Opportunity
The Shaw Group Limited is one of Eastern Canadas leading natural resource manufacturers and land developers employing approximately 550 people and producing nearly 1000 individual products. With a rich 160-year history the company has a reputation for reliable products strong leadership and innovation.
We are currently looking for a Helpdesk Technician to work in our Lantz NS Head Office. This position will be responsible for providing helpdesk support installing new equipment troubleshooting and resolving network and desktop issues. The candidate will work with a team of others and will be responsible to provide frontline technical support for our various offices around the Maritimes.
What youll do
Responsibilities
- Provide support to helpdesk support line and email queue
- Tracking and logging of support calls and emails
- Installing new equipment applications and upgrades
- Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve network and desktop issues
- Create documentation as required and contribute to knowledge base
- This position requires flexibility in hours of work and the ability to travel to the various business units periodically.
What youll need
Qualifications
- Post secondary training in a related field
- A Certification and Network Certification
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent client service
- Experience with current Microsoft Adobe and Apple products would be considered and asset
