Summary:
The AutoCAD Designer works directly with project team to produce multi-discipline 2D and 3D drawing packages for multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction from the project engineers. Drawing packages may consist of P&IDs equipment and piping plans and sections pole elevations and details single line and network architecture diagrams site utility plans and profiles control panel layouts and details.
Responsibilities:- Perform detailed design activities to include:
- Preparation of control panel drawings; evaluating selected components to determine enclosure size back plate layout and details cutouts required associated wiring diagrams and Bill of Materials.
- Preparation of powerline extensions/modification drawings; modify existing or prepare new plan and profiles pole plan/elevations and installation details.
- Preparation of equipment piping plan and sections; participate in field walkdowns to gather field information photos and measurements develop drawings showing current field conditions and new work to be implemented.
- Directs the activities of less experienced team members to produce final product.
- Provides checking support for deliverables.
- Design activities are conducted following regimented quality assurance / quality control procedures.
Required Experience:- Minimum of three (3) years experience in related field.
- High School Diploma
- Must demonstrate expert proficiency with Autodesk products.
- Familiarity with Bentleys Microstation a plus.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience leading small groups of designers.
- Experience in the DOE market segments a plus.
- Client projects for this position require US Citizenship.
- Must have the ability to acquire a security clearance.
