In this dynamic position youll support and guide immunization efforts throughout the regionworking directly with local clinics health units and community partners to drive vaccination coverage and ensure program goals are achieved. AN IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLLOWING COMPETENCIES:Three years of experience in communicable disease intervention and prevention activities or as a licensed registered nurse; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelors degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
Manages all regional activities of the CDCs VFC and AFIX programs including provider quality assurance visits vaccine storage inspections and immunization assessments. Coordinates vaccine distribution inventory and accountability across Region 9 ensuring compliance with CDC standards. Provides training to providers documents all site visits investigates irregularities or potential fraud and implements corrective actions to improve program effectiveness and vaccine safety.
