Landscape Architect
Location: Atlanta GA; Chicago IL; Chantilly VA - Hybrid

The Challenge:
We are seeking a mid-level Landscape Architectto work in a hybrid environment in Atlanta GA; Chicago IL; or Chantilly VA. Ideal candidates are independent thinkers self-motivated communicate proactively enjoy collaborating across disciplines and thrive in a non-corporate environment and structure.
Principle Areas of Responsibility:
- Develops presentation documents utilizing design training and participates in design presentations to Clients.
- Develops design concepts through construction documents.
- Responsible for the preparation of contract drawings.
- Coordinates with the project team of architects and engineers.
- Conducts quality control checks peer reviews and check designer work.
- Meets independently with vendors to review specific products to be incorporated into the documents.
- Performs code reviews and meets independently with local code officials to review and determine specific local code requirements and project compliance.
- Reviews contractor requests during the bidding phase and develops and coordinates the distribution of addenda to the Contractors.
- Conducts field visits during the construction phase to monitor and review the progress of the construction and complete field reports.
- Travels onsite to project fields for client meetings and site inspections and visits: 25% requirement
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree in landscape architecture
- Must be a licensed Landscape Architect (having successfully passed the L.A.R.E. license exam)
- Detailed knowledge of architectural/engineering practice with an emphasis on design design development preparation of construction documents preparation of specifications construction costs and compliance with local codes.
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Minimum of 5-10 years experience in landscape Architectural design work.
- Our work includes contracts that require US Citizenship
- Preferred: experience developing site and/or grading plans
Salary Base: This full-time position as a Landscape Architect level 3 is a salaried exempt position with a base range of $69800 - $90500 annually. This position may be eligible for straight time overtime during times of high-volume milestones. The actual salary is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location.
