About the Mahi

Were seeking a passionate and motivated physiotherapist to join our Nelson-Tasman team in a full-time hybrid role working both in our central Nelson clinic and out in the community across the region. Hours are MondayFriday (40 hours per week) with flexibility available to suit the right candidate.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Completing client assessments and developing tailored treatment plans.
  • Providing physiotherapy across clinic and community environments including homes workplaces and rest homes.
  • Working across a range of contracts such as Physiotherapy Pain Management Training for Independence Early Intervention Integrated Care Pathway Te Whatu Ora Concussion Functional Rehabilitation Assessment Services and Vocational Rehabilitation.
  • Collaborating with a friendly multidisciplinary team as well as funders employers and other health professionals.
  • Documenting and reporting within Gensolve.
  • Supporting clients through injury recovery rehabilitation and long-term wellbeing.
  • Contributing to team meetings training and professional development.

You will be supported by an experienced Clinic Manager and work as a key member of our Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Team.

Our Nelson-Tasman team is a close-knit multidisciplinary group of 14 including physiotherapists occupational therapists exercise therapists psychologists and orthopaedic Nelson specifically were an active bunch exercise is one of our favourite pastimes!

We keep things fun with morning quizzes team challenges casual social catch-ups and the occasional after-work drink or lunchtime hike to the Centre of New Zealand.

Our clinic is right in the heart of Nelsons CBD just a short stroll from the city centre a quick run to the beach and surrounded by great coffee and lunch spots.



Skills And Experiences

About You

You will be a confident skilled physiotherapist with strong clinical reasoning and a positive can-do attitude. While two years experience is preferred were open to welcoming physiotherapists who can work independently and contribute effectively to our team.

You will be comfortable managing a varied caseload across multiple services. ACC experience is an advantage but not essential we will support you to build confidence in this area.

To succeed in this role youll bring:

  • A strong interest in rehabilitation
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • A proactive approach to professional growth
  • A current practising certificate (NZ) indemnity insurance and professional membership
  • A full clean NZ drivers licence
  • A bachelors degree (or higher) in Physiotherapy
