Job Description
Competitive Total Compensation Range: $65000 - $75000 annually depending on experience & credentials (inclusive of base salary and discretionary performance-based bonuses).

Our Canadian operation Canaccord Genuity Corp. is currently looking for an energetic organized and detail-oriented individual with exceptional multi-tasking and interpersonal skills to join a growing advisory team in our Vancouver office. Lori Pinkowski one of the top Portfolio Managers at Canaccord Genuity and a well-known financial expert in the media is seeking a full-time licensed Investment Associate/Analyst to join her team and work in our new downtown Vancouver office.

As an integral member of the Pinkowski Wealth Management team the role of the Investment Associate/Analyst will focus on the research and trading of our discretionary portfolio mandates.
We manage discretionary model portfolios on behalf of our clients and the Wealth Associate is an essential part of the team helping to translate investment strategy into personalized client solutions. This role involves maintaining strong client relationships understanding individual financial goals and ensuring portfolios remain aligned with those objectives as part of our disciplined active management approach.
To be successful you must be disciplined and have a passion for investments and capital this role you will be reporting to the Portfolio Manager.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Completion of and/or willingness to complete CSC (Canadian Securities Course) and CPH (Conduct and Practices Handbook);
- 3-5 years of relevant experience;
- Analytical natural curiosity innovative and creative thinker;
- Strong communication and writing skills;
- A winning and positive attitude;
- Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team;
- High attention to detail;
- Strong knowledge of Excel;
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure;
- Experienced in a trading or portfolio management capacity an asset;
- Knowledge of Dataphile YCharts and Envestnet an asset.
Wealth Associate Duties:
- Creating client reports;
- Regularly writing client friendly communication on current market conditions trends and specific stock queries;
- Creating custom investment plans;
- Day-to-day administrative tasks related to portfolio management;
- Keeping up to date on news flow for corporate and market moving events;
- Monitor economic and market conditions to provide both insight and opinions to the Portfolio Manager;
- Follow a structured and cohesive investment process;
- Analyze quarterly earnings and fundamentals and technicals of blue chip companies;
- Generate investment and trade ideas for the portfolios through detailed analysis;
- Monitor and maintain proprietary model portfolios.
Trading Responsibilities:
- Monitor security prices for entry and exit levels;
- Manage debit balances and bulk trading for clients;
- Execute equity fixed income and FX trades on a regular basis;
- Invest incoming funds and rebalance existing portfolios into model portfolios.
