What You Will Do:
- Modify/create engineering design documentation.
- Debug and integrate software components.
- Support and enhance existing software products as necessary.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers Testers Hardware Engineers and Project Engineers.
- Design develop implement test and debug software applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Drive and self-motivation
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Disciplined approach to developing high quality software
- All work is onsite at our Richardson TX facility

- You will learn the software development process to include working with software requirements verification and test phases etc.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with Agile development practices
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira Confluence Git)
- Experience developing for Linux platforms
- Object oriented design and UML modelling
- Understanding of Virtual Machines
- Understanding of Containers and Containers orchestration.
- Understanding of microservices.
- Target based debugging experience
- Experience performing static and dynamic code analysis
- Understanding of well-disciplined in software engineering processes and methodologies
- Understanding of well-disciplined configuration management practices
- Understanding of software quality processes including software peer reviews
- Proficiency in industry standard software development tools (such as Subversion Git Enterprise Architect Coverity or equivalents)
- Developing software for military applications and/or experience of working government programs

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
