Software Engineering Team Lead - Platform & Architecture

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Software Engineering Technical Lead to develop drive and ensure our customers experience reliable and robust products services and solutions. As the primary engineer for our cloud services you will be experienced and passionate about scalable infrastructure and data solutions. We are looking for a motivated results-oriented quality-focused engineer who understands how to build and roll out customer-focused solutions. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that weavix can grow as fast as possible while keeping the product as usable and refined as possible. You will be leading a team of engineers who work on the platform and architecture for our devices and backend platform which includes wireless IoT safety-critical devices. You will be reporting to the SVP Engineering.

What Were Looking For:
We are seeking a driven and strategic individual focused on building and maintaining our services platform in Azure as well as how our cloud services interface with our IoT devices with wireless technology overseeing data platforms dev-ops releases and systems architecture. Day-to-day responsibilities will include developing our next-generation device and platform creating networks to ensure that our devices can communicate with each other and cloud services seamlessly. You will be proficient in using tools to provide to analyze network traffic reduce latency and keep battery performance to a maximum and keep cloud costs to a minimum.

Objectives of This Role:

• Lead and develop the backend cloud services and data platform.
• Oversee data platforms and visualization to grow and assist the business.
• Oversee the development and implementation of wireless technologies.
• Oversee software releases for devices and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Improve our existing platform services and systems reliability and performance.
• Implement new services to increase performance and reliability.
• Reduce the cost of our cloud services.
• Manage our dev-ops tools services and integrations.
• Manage our build systems repository infrastructure and services.
• Improve the efficiency of our service platform.
• Responsible for the success of the companys software releases to our customers.
• Improve our data strategy to increase visibility on vital device and business metrics.d

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure or other cloud service platforms
• Kubernetes cluster management configuration update and deployment.
• Strong communication skills providing guidance strategy and a plan to execute.
• Excellent leadership capabilities you will be leading an engineering team.
• Proven problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
• A strong desire to maximize systems architecture and platform reliability.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (or equivalent) or at least eight years of relevant work experience.
• Experience as a developer implementing digital wireless communication radios.
• SOCII experience including scheduling periodic penetration and vulnerability testing.
• Knowledge of MQTT integration for IoT platforms and systems.
• Experience with Azure.
