Job Summary:
The Project Manager will lead the Municipal Investment Transformation (MINT) Project a strategic initiative focused on replacing high-risk applications and databases to enhance security and modernize infrastructure. This role involves managing large-scale business transformation ensuring project alignment with standards and effective stakeholder communication.
Location: Regina Saskatchewan Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan in collaboration with the Project Leadership Team.
- Ensure project execution aligns with standards processes and documentation following Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines.
- Deliver project outputs on time within budget and according to specifications.
- Ensure work products comply with technical standards.
- Facilitate integration across related projects.
- Monitor and report on project performance including scope schedule cost and quality.
- Identify monitor and manage project-related risks.
- Provide timely communication regarding project risks issues and concerns.
- Organize and facilitate multi-stakeholder workshops and meetings.
- Develop project change requests negotiating financial implications with the Project Sponsor.
- Identify changes to resourcing requirements.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
- Experience managing complex Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) implementation projects in an IT environment.
- Agreement to work full-time onsite at a Government office.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with similar entities.
- Experience managing large-scale transformation projects with public-facing online technology components.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Experience implementing project governance frameworks.
- Proven experience overseeing 3rd party implementors and proprietary technology solutions.
- Experience preparing project documents (e.g. status reports budgets project plans).
- Experience managing team resources risks systems development and project activities following PMI standards.
- Technical background with experience communicating technical concepts.
- Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps and ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
- Experience working on public sector information technology projects.
- Experience and knowledge of Organizational Change Management.
