Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 1 Year (with possible extension)
Location: Fargo ND 58102
Shift: 1st Shift Onsite 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking an Engineer Product I Embedded Software professional to support embedded software development testing and analysis for engineering projects. This role involves hands-on coding debugging feasibility testing and process improvement under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic product design testing and analysis for assigned project components.
- Create and maintain technical/user documentation with backup procedures.
- Contribute to drafting engineering standards feasibility testing and validating design outcomes.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend changes using established frameworks.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver seamless engineering support.
- Conduct inspections to evaluate engineering quality and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Work within established project management plans to meet cost time and quality goals.
- Apply safe systems of work and manage project-related risks under guidance.
- Provide progress updates assist in role definition and support project culture building.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in embedded software design execution and evaluation.
- Intermediate-level project planning tracking and reporting.
- Clear and effective technical communication skills.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems.
- Strong ability to analyze data trends and apply engineering technologies.
Required Experience
- Hands-on embedded firmware development experience.
- Proficient in C/C programming.
- Skilled in debugging tools: oscilloscopes logic analyzers debuggers.
- Experience with GitHub or other version/configuration management systems.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Python programming experience.
- Familiarity with CAN communication networks and J1939/ISO11783 protocols.
- Knowledge of signal processing techniques (digital filters FFTs).
- Exposure to machine learning and AI algorithms.
Education
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in a related field.
