Job Description

This position sets up all radiographic equipment prior to performing angiographic procedures processes and performs quality control checks on cine radiographic images assists in preparing patient for procedures and assists other members of the cath lab/Interventional Radiology staff and physicians as needed to ensure timely and efficient use of the cardiac cath lab/special procedures.
- Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.
- Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis.
- May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist Administrative Director or Operations Manager.
- Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required.
- May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist.
- Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrates proper operation of PACS HIS and RIS computer systems.
- Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR DR and PACs applications.
- Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens infection control and body substance isolation.
- Maintains department competencies as required

For Holiday Coverage Travelers are REQUIRED to work TWO of the following:
Thanksgiving and Friday/weekend after
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and Friday/weekend after
New Year Eve/New Year Day and Friday/weekend after
NOTE Extensions that are requested to END in November or before the holiday starts in December will NOT be considered for an extension at the beginning of 2026
8hrs non-billable orientation
Holiday and OT Multipliers - 1.25%
Requirement description :
- 2 years current IR experience
- ARRT (RTR) Certification - Required
- MALIC(R)(M) - Mass License in Radiography and Mammography
- Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
- Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress work intensive environment.
- Attendance at all mandatory education is required.
