Our client a leading organisation in the product and software development industry is seeking an Intermediate Data Engineer to join their growing team based in Century City Cape Town. This role is ideal for a data professional with solid technical skills who is eager to deepen their expertise and contribute to building robust scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain efficient data pipelines and ETL processes.
Build and optimize data models to ensure accuracy accessibility and performance.
Collaborate with software development and product teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
Apply best practices in data quality governance and security.
Leverage Microsoft Azure services to manage and scale data infrastructure.
Requirements:
35 years experience in a data engineering role.
Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure data services (e.g. Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake).
Proficiency in Python or another programming language for data processing.
Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
