**INTERNAL POSTING**


POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL 9/12/2025 at 5:00PM


SUMMARY: Performs routine data collection and learns to analyze residential properties to assist in determining correct market valuation for the County Assessors Office (CAO).
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job description is subject to change at any time by the employer. Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Learns to assist Appraisers in the evaluation and assessment of assigned properties; learns to use CAMA (Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal) system and develop classification and valuation of properties.
Assists with customer services; learns to assist property owners in understanding state assessment and valuation
process; works with field inspection teams and assists with data collection on land and structures.
Supports the relationship between the Teton County staff and the general public by demonstrating courteous and
cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and County staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and County information; performs other duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Up to 1 year of customer service and computer experience
Required Licenses and Certifications:
Must possess a valid Wyoming/Idaho Drivers License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Required Knowledge of:
County policies and procedures and state laws and regulations governing property valuation and assessment rules.
Records management and customer service principles protocols and standards.
Standard and specialized computer software applications including Geographic Information System (GIS).
Required Skills in:
Learning the factors involved in the valuation and assessment of land improvements and personal property.
Providing effective customer service and dealing tactfully and courteously with the public.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other staff and the general public.
Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a standard office environment and in the field to evaluate properties.
Travel is required for Appraisal Certification and Continuing Education.
