Job Description
The KS Large Bore Pistons Group is one of the worlds leading designers and manufacturers of large-bore pistons. We offer perfect solutions for pistons with diameters ranging from 130 to 640mm. Our pistons are made of aluminum spheroidal graphite iron or steel as well as combinations of these materials for all customer applications.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a Finishing/Coating Operator to join our this role you will be responsible for operating all equipment to complete the process for a finished coated piston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with previous and following shift to exchange information and learn of problems.
- Visually inspect and gauge all parts according to procedures to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Deburr and oil parts as required.
- Clean change setup adaptors/plugs and make necessary adjustments as required.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance machine care and cleaning activities according to CIL Standards.
- Maintain temperatures soap concentrations and zinc levels on deck. This includes titration checks adding chemicals and mixing new baths.
- Prepare chemical buckets for additives and new baths.
- Graphite coating: Doing viscosity testing and making new coating.
- In areas required load and unload heat treat oven.
- Complete and maintain all paperwork records documents etc. as required.
- Participate in training new employees in Finishing/Coating area.
- Will be required to participate in and successfully pass onsite Magnetic Particle Inspection training. Upon successful completion of training a raise to the next pay grade will occur.
Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma equivalent or relevant experience
- Basic math experience
- Ability to perform the operation sequence of processes using standard instructions
- Ability to obtain a forklift license by KSLP standards
- Manufacturing experience ability to read blueprints and hand gauges is ideal
