JOB CNC Machinist

LOCATION Gloucester

TERM Permanent

SALARY 35000 to 40000 per annum (plus benefits)

My client is a leading Engineering company specialising in precision components and assemblies for a variety of industries. They are looking to expand their machining team by taking on a CNC Machinist to work in their workshop in Gloucester.

The CNC Machinist will ideally have the following attributes:
Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling and/or turning machines
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience with Fanuc Heidenhain or Mazak controls would be advantageous
Knowledge of precision engineering and tight tolerances
Apprenticeship NVQ or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong communication skills
Willingness to develop and progress within the company

The CNC Machinist role will involve:
Setting and operating CNC machines to produce precision-engineered components
Working to tight tolerances and quality standards
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Performing quality checks on parts produced
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Liaising with the engineering team to ensure production deadlines are met
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
