Job Description

The salary range for this position is dependent on experience level ranging from $85900 to $107375.

Job Summary

Responsible for proactively protecting people assets and information to achieve the strategic goals and mission of Iberdrola USA-Networks and of the Iberdrola Group. Specifically this position is responsible for (1) supervising the day-to-day activities of manned guards in the Security Operation Centers in Maine and New York and (2) designing planning and delivering all the activities related to training manned guards to ensure best-in-class performance. Works closely with the Manager of Security Operations to create a sustainable compliant Corporate Security environment capable of future growth while ensuring security practices meet NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection standards Homeland Security and other regulatory requirements. This position is an entry-level management position responsible for geographically dispersed manned guarding staff in a 24/7 work environment consisting of three shifts. The candidate must have well developed analytical skills well developed interpersonal skills and have excellent presentation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of the Security Operations Centers (Maine and New York).
  • Maintains current security system and supports the expansion at new sites throughout Iberdrola USA as required.
  • Develops maintains and implements security policies and procedures including NERC CIP procedures.
  • Designs and delivers security training including NERC CIP procedures to the manned guarding staff.
  • Works with technical team to security standards to meet compliance issues.
  • Oversee incident management processes and security monitoring alerts at the SOC level.
  • Performs a variety of complex analytical tasks in support of one or more security-related programs.
  • Supports the implementation of security-related operating guidelines and procedures.
  • Works with Lead Analyst to investigate thefts larcenies vandalism and suspicious activities as reported or referred.
  • Assists with security-related site visits and initiates follow-up actions with appropriate group.
  • Performs other security-related functions on 24-hour availability with emphasis placed on prompt and proper investigations leading to successful conclusions and recovery of assets.

Required Qualifications

  • Education & Experience Required:
    • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years experience preferred;
    • Associates Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience required.
    • Minimum 3 years of related experience.
    • Thorough knowledge of teaching techniques and accident investigations.
    • NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection standards.
    • Broad knowledge of gas wind and electric operations.
    • General knowledge of company operating systems field operations facility locations policies and procedures regulations and general knowledge of the law.
    • Experience in risk assessments and security operations as well as contract and vendor management.
    • Broad-based knowledge of access control and video surveillance principals.
  • Skills/Abilities:

    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.

    • Working knowledge of electronic and physical security systems.
    • Able to make operational decisions under pressure.
    • Able to work in Maine and New York and work all three shifts (2nd and 3rd shifts periodically).
