- 60 months of K12 educational experience which includes classroom experience with 36 months as a building leader team leader department chair or curriculum coordinator providing professional development facilitation and managing/leading multiple projects.

- The incumbent will be providing services to 22 cohort school districts throughout the state of Oklahoma and will be expected to travel to each site up to 3 or 4 times per year with occasional overnight stays

The Micro-Credentialing Learning Coordinator will guide the Micro-Credentialing Learning team in planning organizing communicating and monitoring evidence-based services with school partners to ensure that they are aligned with specified project outcomes. The incumbent will oversee project management participant management and development of high-quality resources in support of educator family and student engagement in College and Career Readiness activities and services. This professional will facilitate the ongoing development of each member of this team to help team members realize their full professional potential. This incumbents job tasks will include:
Communications
- Serving as a liaison between the GEAR UP for LIFE Project Director project staff school stakeholders and community partners
- Resolving project-based conflict and taking corrective action as needed
- Acting as an ambassador for the K20 Center and the sponsored project
- Participating in meetings and committees representing the project in K20 Center and sponsored research outreach efforts
- Gathering staff feedback recommendations and insights to inform and improve project services
- Disseminating K20 Center and project information to project staff members
- Coordinating with the Interactive Learning and Learning Support Teams to generate asynchronous learning activities and micro-credentialing supports within the eKadence learning management system
- Supporting the publication of easy-to-use implementation resources of core project services to the K20 LEARN repository.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of communication plans that support partners
- Engaging in GEAR UP services including schools site-based action plans and resulting professional learning and services student exploration of college and university campuses student engagement with professionals and their careers parent/family understanding of postsecondary opportunities and processes and teachers professional growth in evidence-based practices to better prepare students for postsecondary education opportunities.
Evidence-Based Design
The incumbent will support the K20 GEAR UP for LIFE teams understanding of trends and developments in educational literature by:
- Determining the nature and extent of the information needed selecting sources and critically evaluating information and its sources
- Preparing annotated bibliographies of selected sources that summarize the central theme and scope of the peer-reviewed articles reviewed
- Producing summaries and explanations of the complete and current state of knowledge on selected topics (e.g. validated instruments for cognitive engagement) as found in academic books and journal articles
- Using a collaborative instructional design approach with stakeholders adapt the evidence-based strategies into micro-credentialed learning experiences for students families and educators by designing learning solutions that reflect evidence-based adult/student learning theories to address the learner needs
- Employing various learning methods and emerging technologies to reach learning outcomes and
- Publishing high-quality resources to K20s LEARN repository.
Talent Management
The incumbent will ensure the project has the staff infrastructure and resources required to implement the sponsored research goals effectively and efficiently by:
- Monitoring staffing requirements
- Recruiting and hiring exceptional candidates
- Focusing on staff engagement and retention
- Developing and maintaining a high-performance culture
- Providing consultative coaching and mentoring support to project staff through the performance improvement and development processes including periodic formative (K20 Center) and summative (OU) evaluations.
Professional Learning Facilitation
The incumbent will facilitate professional learning experiences to ensure quality service and operational goals associated with selected standards are achieved by:
- Conducting/reviewing needs assessments to understand learner needs
- Collaborating with instructional designers to define the operational goals/learning objectives of the selected learning criteria (based on established learning standards)
- Utilizing best practices in learner-centered instructional methods and alternatives to lectures that accommodate the different learning styles of students and adults
- Providing support to schools improvement efforts through micro-credentialed learning and
- Ensuring the GEAR UP schools professional learning infrastructures and resources are in place to support job-embedded learning experiences evidenced by the observable mastery of criteria resulting in an awarded credential.
Evaluation and Reporting
The incumbent will utilize tracking tools and risk management data found in K20 Centers grant management platforms (TREK PLANS and LEARN) to establish service goals monitor and report progress by:
- Communicating the goals objectives and outcomes of the project to stakeholders
- Gathering and communicating information to help make data-informed planning decisions about the project and
- Reviewing and implementing evaluation criteria to evaluate progress toward project goals objectives and outcomes.
The incumbent will implement risk management practices using K20 Centers grant management platforms (TREK PLANS and LEARN) and use K20s team services and deliverable tracking tool (POLARIS) to document their Key Performance Indicators to identify and mitigate risks and challenges to grant-defined outputs and outcomes by:
- Documenting monitoring and when needed refining evaluation procedures throughout the lifetime of the project
- Monitoring and communicating the extent to which the project goals objectives and outcomes were met; and
- Developing criteria for program improvement.
Project Management
The incumbent will develop implement and rene performance improvement and project management methodologies by:
- Managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the micro-credentialing learning team
- Developing long-range strategic planning to support site-based action plans and associated professional learning related to implementing each action plan and
- Monitoring project milestones to ensure resources are available and applied appropriately to achieve desired performance goals in a timely manner.
Participation Management
- The incumbent will use active tracking tools K20s research participant management system (TREK) and risk management practices to support communication with internal (project team members research teams etc.) as well as external stakeholders (project sponsors etc).
As Needed
- The incumbent will perform various additional duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
