Data Entry Operator Level I

Description
This is a projected position with a start date no earlier than October 1.
The Data Entry Operator Level I operates keyboard-controlled data entry devices such as computers key-operated magnetic tape or disc encoders to transcribe data into a format suitable for computer processing. This position requires skill in operating an alphanumeric keyboard and knowledge of transcribing procedures and data entry equipment.
The Level I role works under close supervision following specific procedures and detailed instructions. Work is routine and repetitive drawn from standardized source documents that require little or no selecting coding or interpreting of data. Issues such as erroneous items codes or missing information are referred to supervisory staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Enter data accurately from coded survey forms completed by farmers ranchers and agribusinesses.
Perform routine data entry for the Forms Processing Group with additional support as needed in Centralized Edit Unit
Frames Maintenance Group
Print Mail Center
Objective Yield Lab
Support administrative functions including filing opening/sorting mail processing grain samples and assisting Print Mail Center staff.
Maintain confidentiality of data and follow prescribed procedures.
Resolve routine data issues by following instructions; escalate non-routine problems to supervisors.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency with alphanumeric and 10-key data entry.
Basic mathematics and analytical skills.
Ability to follow prescribed instructions and procedures.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook.
Ability to navigate new software applications databases and online platforms.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa.
Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance.
Salary
$16.49 per hour
$5.55 per hour worked Health & Welfare benefit in addition to the base hourly rate
