Job Summary

Description

As a Senior Associate in the Corporate Simplification team you will work with clients to advise them on how they can simplify their group structures.

You will be involved throughout all stages of the simplification lifecycle working as part of a team toadvise clients on how to dispose of and reorganise corporate entities realise assets resolve outstanding issues such as the settlement of creditor claims and assist in the distribution of the surplus assets to shareholders.

You will broaden your knowledge as part of a fast-growing team that has strong relationships and networks across different industry groups.

You will develop an impressive range of advisory and technical implementation skills gaining exposure to company legislation and accounting principles. This will foster a solid legal and financial understanding of different clients and businesses that will offer you both growth and career progression opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer a portfolio of MVLs and CVLs including drafting letters to shareholders and settling creditor claims.
  • Prepare fee quotes engagement letters and appointment documentation necessary to effect liquidation.
  • Communicate with a variety of stakeholders (Clients contacts HMRC legal and tax advisors etc).
  • Provide general administrative support to Corporate Simplification team which will include statutory compliance tracking pipeline opportunities and billing management.
  • UseIPS case management systemreact to diary prompts drafting annual progress reports as appropriate etc.
  • Liaise with the Treasury team to deal with daily banking matters (instructing payments and reclaiming input VAT where applicable).
  • Train junior members of staff.
  • Adhere to Krolls systems and relevant Health & Safety policy requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong academic qualifications (and/or equivalent accounting experience).
  • Good interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
  • A self-starting team player with a can-do attitude and an inquisitive mind.
  • Good attention to detail organisational and administrative capabilities with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure deal with ambiguity and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in using IPS
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills specifically Word Excel and PowerPoint
