As the technical subject matter expert (SME) for all Inspection lines the Injectable Inspection Packaging Tech 5 plays a vital role in ensuring efficient and reliable operations. This position leads Operator Care activities manages changeovers on automated and semi-automated lines and provides hands-on technical expertise across inspection processes. The Packaging Tech 5 also supports special projects assisting engineering and maintenance with troubleshooting validation preventive maintenance and other critical addition to running lines this role requires a thorough understanding of the duties of Line Coordinators and Material Handlers. If qualified the Packaging Tech 5 may also be required to perform inspector/operator responsibilities
What You Will Achieve
As a Packaging Tech 5 you will play a leadership role in driving operational excellence across all Injectable Inspection lines. You will take ownership of Operator Care activities oversee line startups and changeovers and act as a mentor and trainer for Packaging Techs Line Coordinators and Operators/Inspectors. This role requires demonstrating strong leader behaviors by modeling safety quality and accountability while helping colleagues build skill and confidence.
You will also be directly involved in troubleshooting minor repairs and process adjustments to maintain equipment collaboration with maintenance engineering and production leaders you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives support new equipment and system upgrades and ensure production goals are achieved. By combining technical expertise with leadership and mentoring you will help create an environment that consistently delivers safe compliant and efficient operations.
How You Will Achieve It
In this role you will:
Lead Operator Care activities monitoring line performance identifying issues and implementing corrective actions to sustain reliability.
Oversee and execute line startups changeovers and clearances to ensure efficient product transitions.
Train and mentor Packaging Techs Line Coordinators and Operators/Inspectors to strengthen team capability and foster growth.
Model and reinforce strong leader behaviors promoting a culture of safety quality and accountability.
Monitor evaluate and adjust processes or equipment to maximize efficiency and maintain product quality.
Perform troubleshooting and minor equipment repairs to minimize downtime.
Accurately complete batch records supporting documentation (WPM) and SAP entries.
Collaborate with maintenance to complete repairs and develop mechanical solutions.
Support Operations Specialists Production Leads and Engineers/Plant Professionals with validation upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
Communicate effectively with colleagues support teams and leadership to ensure smooth operations and alignment.
Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines SOPs and FDA current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of related experience and training.
Language Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.
Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in calculating percentages multiplication and division.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to analyze and troubleshoot automated equipment and processes.
Physical Demands: Requires repetitive bending lifting twisting and standing for extended periods.
Work Environment: Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The lighting in the work area is adjusted to accommodate inspection processes. Use of eye protection is required.
Additionally strong math and reading skills are essential for understanding SOPs GMPs and Batch Records. Success in this role requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment perform tasks productively under demanding conditions and adapt to new and evolving responsibilities.
The Packaging Tech 5 must be self-motivated capable of managing daily tasks independently to meet production schedules and committed to continuous learning and improvement.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical Demands: Job tasks may include frequent bending lifting and twisting motions. Ability to stand upright for several consecutive hours. Absence of any medical restrictions which could restrict completion of all required duties. Additional demands are area specific.
Work Environment: Colleague must work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to airborne particles which require appropriate safety protection noise levels may require protective hearing devices eye protection required. Practices and promotes safe working environmental at all times. Area specific gowning will be required. Aseptic gowning is required for work responsibilities within the aseptic area.
Language Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills required. Demonstrated reading comprehension and writing proficiency at level that meets Job Summary requirements. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse individuals/groups resulting in desired outcomes.
Mathematical Skills: Strong math skills with the ability to calculate percentages.
Reasoning Ability: Skill in analyzing information problems situations practices or procedures to: Define the problem or objective; Identify relevant concerns or factors; Identify patterns tendencies and relationships; Formulate logical and objective conclusions; and Recognize alternatives and their implications.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Weekend work will be required.
Training may occur on 1st Shift
