Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic
Wage: $40- $55 per hour based on experience
Full Time: 40 -50 Hours per week
FLSA: Exempt
Working Hours:
Monday-Friday 7:00 am 3:30 p.m.
Occasional Saturdays on an as needed basis
PSC Construction is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to perform diagnostics repairs and modifications on mechanical equipment. Including diesel pickup trucks heavy construction equipment semi-truck and trailers.
Requirements:
- Must have 5 to 10 years verifiable experience in heavy duty trucking and heavy equipment industry or similar field
- Must have own set of general tools
- Be able to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
- Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions
- Clean Driving Record
- Pass Certifiable Background Check and Drug Screening
Solid Written and verbal communication skills
Strong work ethic and the ability to work with little supervision
Description:
Inspect and repair diesel engines including semis pick-up trucks hydro vac trucks and heavy construction equipment.
Handle routine repairs including oil required services
Order parts stock fluids and other materials
Skill in computer diagnostics and electronic troubleshooting
Write detailed inspection reports and repair plans with estimated cost
Maintain fleet vehicle reports
Inspect all vehicles and equipment on a weekly basis
Communicate effectively with managers regarding the repairs needed or performed
