Job Description Summary
At Technical Coordinator level the role requires the provision of leadership and guidance to colleagues and Northern Trust partners to support AML compliance services aligned to: AML Legislation/Regulation & Guidance/Best Practice. Ireland & UK Investor AML processes and procedures. Northern Trusts Compliance Risk and Audit programs. There is a requirement to hold build and maintain a very strong relationship with the Northern Trust Investor AML Department in Ireland to deliver a robust AML Compliance service to Northern Trusts client and investor base.

ROLE
The Technical Coordinator role requires the provision of leadership and guidance to colleagues and partners who input review and support KYC compliance services aligned to:
There is a requirement to hold build and maintain a very strong relationship with the Northern Trust WM CRF Review Team in Chicago - USA to deliver a comprehensive AML/KYC review to Northern Trusts wealth management client base for banking and trust products.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Candidate to have minimum 4-6 years industry years of experience in related industry (Wealth Management AML KYC AML Regulations)
At least 1 Year people management experience for external candidates.
For internal candidates (within Northern Trust)
Technical Coordinator at least 2 years of AML/KYC experience in a TC role. At least 1 year as a Technical Coordinator (AML/KYC experience preferred)
Graduation in Commerce. Additional qualification in preferred (e.g. CA/ CS/ CWA/CFA/ MBA) AML certifications
Demonstrate a good understanding of processes including AML / KYC / wealth management client onboarding (Highly Desirable)
Knowledge/ understanding of Luxembourg/Ireland/Guernsey/UK US regulatory environment (Highly Desirable)
Knowledge of day-to-day AML processes and procedures and the wider funds administration business (Highly Desirable)
Previous experience in an AML servicing role (Preferred)
Strong organizational and communication skills (Essential)
Effective risk management (Essential)
Flexible approach to work
Strong drive on data protection and compliance requirements (Desirable)
Client Service experience preferably gained in an investment administration environment
Ability to work on own initiative (Essential)
Ability to research and understand issues and deliver solutions agreed with line management (Highly Desirable)
General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications relating to designated areas of responsibility
ACCOUNTABILITIES
The successful candidate is required to comply and ensure direct reports comply with the global AML regulatory regime in which Northern Trust operates as appropriate to the above role.
The successful candidate is expected to exercise due care and diligence and ensure that the responsibilities of the role are organized and controlled within the ambit of regulation compliance and risk management.
The successful candidate is required to observe proper standards of market business and personal conduct demonstrating integrity in the execution of such duties.

Internal Candidates Eligibility Criteria:
24 months as a Senior Analyst to move as a Technical coordinator/Associate Consultant.
Movement within TC and Associate Consultant is 12 months
