Waldorf Astoria is looking for a Position Title to join the team in Chicagos Gold Coast!

Classification:Part-Time/Full-Time/Seasonal/On-Call
Shift: Various must be available to weekdays weekends and holidays.
Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $26.73 and is based onapplicable and specialized experience and location.
Union Position: This position is part of the Local 1 Union which requirescomplete open availability. We arenot able to accommodate schedule restrictions and full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedule are based on seniority and business needs and may be minimal at times until seniority is established. You must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week.
What will I be doing
As a Cook III working in the Brass Tack Restaurant you would be responsible for preparing maintaining and monitoring quality control for food items in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Prepare maintain and monitor quality control for hot food items including but not limited to meat fish fowl sauces stocks and seasonings
- Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Prepare guest orders in a friendly timely and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
- Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen and ensure plates are clean and appetizing
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal state local and company regulations
