Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Respiratory Care team in Maywood IL. This position specializes in Neonatal and Pediatric Respiratory Care with flexibility to float to adult units based on patient census. Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM 3 Nights/Week 36 Hours/Week
Schedule: Monday-Friday every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment type and frequency.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Operate monitor and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
- Document and communicate patient progress and condition.
- Provide advanced respiratory care modalities and administer medications.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans conditions and available support resources.
- Act as a vital member of emergency resuscitation/code response teams.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare staff to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Licensure/Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Certifications Required: BLS ACLS PALS NRP
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (Neo/Peds preferred)
- Ability to float between neonatal pediatric and adult units
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
- Traveler RRT experience is highly preferred
